Buddy was in Germany a couple of months ago today he received a speed cam ticket for 12 over photo and all, they must be hard up to track down a rental car company and send a ticket to the US. Funny stuff.

Lucky they didn't demand payment upon leaving. They've had tracking and automated systems since the 80s.

My daughter was in Italy a few years ago and got one of those tickets mailed to the house.

Any fines levied and not paid will make travel through any of the EU Countries flagged until the fine and late fees are paid . Typically takes a court date to do that. If you landed in any EU Country, enjoy the Airport since that's as far as you'll get. They have agreements between all EU Countries regardless of where the infraction took place. Wasn't me but followed someone whos family trip to France was wrecked when one of them had outstanding fines. Did have a German BIL who threatened my wife that he'd tie her up in court so she couldn't travel back to the USA she didn't take full responsibility of their mother. Changed his tune after the local lawyer we hired enlightened him.

Tell them he will call it even for the costs we incurred in WWI and WWII.

If he did break a law in another country I say he should pay the consequences. Unless that outlook only applies to basketball players playing abroad?

I received one of those when I went to Switzerland for work a few years back. I committed the offense, so I paid the fine.

He’s going to pay it it’s just funny they tracked him down for $50 that’s cheaper then a speeding ticket in the US. LOL
