So I have 2 gallons of this that was given to me sitting in the shop and not sure what to do with it. I never use additives in my fuel systems and not about to start. What else is it good for??

It has always been a mystery, to me. It does have a nice smell to it. I will be watching the answers and try to learn something about the marvelous benefits of the product.

The State of Maryland used MMO in all its Marine Police patrol boat 2 stroke outboard engines for years. never heard of any issues. :-)

Every fall when my Pappy parked his motorhome for the season, he would pour MMO in the carb until it choked out and quit. The next spring it would crank over a few times, then fire up like you'd just shut it off. He swore by it.

We use MMO at work in air pumps and air motors, especially if they are locked up and not working. Disconnect the airline, dump some in and hook the air back up. Most of the time it works, just like magic.

We always used a few drops in our air tools.

We had an engine sitting for years. Pulled the plugs, put some mmo in the cylinders, let it sit for a couple of days. Put a wrench on the crank shaft pulley and turn it over! Freed up the engine and we tuned it and ran it in the shop yard for years!

For many years I burned premium car gas in my super cub airplane, I put a cup of mmo in each 25 gallon tank for extra lube. I flew several thousand hours and never had any engine problems

I saw a man at a lumber yard change the oil in a dump truck and used all marble mystery oil needless to say seized the engine

I add the recommended amount of Marvels to the gas tank for most fill up's when I remember ha ha I feel that it helps because our fuel is so dry it doesn't lubricate the up engine parts like our old fuel did years ago .

As mentioned remove the spark plugs and squirt some marvels into each cylinder let it sit with the plugs replaced turn it over then fire it up it will free up the rings .

We use that stuff underground on all of our Tools. Both air and Diesel. It is like WD 40.

A local tractor mechanic and many farmers around me mix it into diesel and gas, especially diesel. The mechanic says one big bonus is it helps lubricate the sleeves. He says diesel doesn't do this anymore since Sulphur has been removed from all fuels. I blend with my diesel and gas per directions.

Back before all this electronic bs on trucks, we put it in our diesel fuel.

some Ed's red recipes use it also

I found an ed's red gun lube recipe one time 1/3 odorless K1 , 1/3 ATF dextron , 1/3 MMO

I can't say it was better than some other oil but it did decent and it is cheap enough to make a bunch of

I have also used it in air tools , it was a small bottle that said marvel mystery oil air tool not sure how the black bottle differs from the red bottle however

Transmission oil is cheaper and does the same thing, it just doesn't have the smell.

I have never used it but a neighbor is an A&P mech. and uses it in all his vehicles (vechiles) as well as his planes
