Anyone following the Crowder/Owen's drama?

Candace has taken her Daily Wire assigned role as attack dog personal.

Daily Wire lost me in how they handled the Crowder situation and it was obvious they set Candace to the task of going after Crowder.

But when she inserted herself into a private family matter with threats and innuendo it showing her true colors as a catty witch.

And now she's threatening to sue Crowder.

She's a nasty piece of work.

I like what Candace Owen had to say about George Floyd and him being a career criminal, not a hero, etc.

It seems pretty petty for both of these two to be going at each other when they have the same objectives. They are setting a poor example for conservatives. I'm surprised the main stream media hasn't had a circus with this feud.

She's done some great things, the George Floyd thing was great, but her full attack mode of dealing with issues is being misused and abused when it's turned on fellow conservatives.

What other conservatives has she attacked? I may be wrong, as I wasn't aware she was attacking other conservatives. I've heard other conservatives speak highly of her from time to time.

I don't know that she has.

But it was obvious that during the fallout of the Crowder/Daily Wire failed contract profer that Candace was either tasked with or took it upon herself to makes the rounds supporting Daily Wire, her employer, but she went low with it attacking Crowder personally not arguing the merits of her employers side of the proposed contract.

It wasn't pretty but that's her style.

This week it came out the she had actually issued veiled threats to Crowder during that time most were unaware of as we did not know what Crowder was going through.

Crowder revealed this week that he is going through a divorce that he absolutely does not want. He also showed Candace comments hinting exposure of "things that Steven is going through". After he did that Candace retaliated with innuendo of inappropriate behavior by Crowder towards her. Specifically a compliment on her appearance.
Crowder stated that he felt that Candace was attempting extortion with threats of smear and innuendo particularly since she had mentioned his children in her comments. Candace then countered with demands of apology and retraction or she will file suit for defamation.

Has the main stream picked up on this? I would expect them to have a field day with it; two conservatives going at it. I admit I don't know the whole story, but it seems childish and petty to me. What I know of Candice, I would have expected more from her.

Did a little research. I can't find where she said anything wrong. He is coming off as an idiot from what I saw. And I like his stuff on youtube, but dumb is dumb. I would agree he is being childish and petty.

He is but she has been after him ever since the contract offer blew up.

She could've taken the high road.

Sounds like a pair of good conservatives. Time to forget their difference, bury the hatchet, get back to what they both do best.

As far as I'm concerned, Crowder has lost all credibility. It is very unfortunate, but I do not believe a word he says on the matter. I used to watch his show almost every day. When he pulled the sleazy maneuver on the Daily Wire, he lost all of my trust. He's out for himself above all else and has proven himself to be a narcissistic arse. Look at the facts of the matter. He has shown some true ugliness here.

I am learning that. It seems several other youtubers are now speaking out as are his wife's attorneys. I really didn't fault him on the daily wire stuff other than wonder why he would air what should've just been a walk away business deal.
I do fault Candace on how she has handled things. She has done herself no favors even if she is in the right.

I think Crowder needs to put his Big Boy Pants on and try shutting up once in a while.

I dont know anything about the rift between Candice and Crowder, but I've always been a Candice fan. She is a brilliant young woman and understands the issues better than most.

As far as the daily wire debacle, rule number one is that you don't tape your "friends" and then try to make it something it isn't, especially in public. Shapiro and Crowder were, as far as I see it, friends. He was on Shapiro's Sunday show more than once. Shapiro, to my knowledge, never uttered a bad word about Crowder. The sad part is that, the way the world is today, the last thing conservatives should be doing is trying to tear the other down and the way I see it, that's exactly what Crowder tried to do. For what? Yup, money! Truly ugly.

I think that both sides make good points but that ego has gotten in the way of pragmatism... I disagree 100% with the way Crowder handled the Daily Wire contract issue and his behavior since has been disappointing. That doesn't negate the facts of the matter... that the Daily Wire contract format hamstrings any content creator who's ideas push the envelope of what YT considers acceptable. There should be some means for content creators (businesses) to avoid financial ruin if they run afoul of what is already established as a left biased censorship body at YT. The DW contract stipulations effectively muzzle anyone who wishes to present a case (even if it is factually based) that could result in a shadow-ban, strike or demonitization and when you (DW) are the gatekeeper of conservative content on YT, putting forward a contract with no protections in place to the contracting party is a tacit acceptance of leftist policy and leaves you one very small step removed from controlled opposition in my opinion.

That said, Crowder's approach here did more collateral damage than the value of the potential "fix"... in other words, the effort was not / will not be worth the return.

What I find disappointing is that neither party here has the strategic forethought to shut their mouths and take this squabbling back behind closed doors where it belongs.
