My 11 year old daughter wanted to earn some money for some toy she wants to buy. So today I had her dragging and stacking brush for awhile. With me helping the job took less than an hour, and I paid her way more than the job was worth! The important thing to me though is that she asked to work for something she wanted without being told she had to. Makes me proud of her.

You’re teaching her right! I did that to my kids. Work and save. All but one got. She’s, work and spend !

I took my boy with me day waging when he was young and a little hard work never hurt him a bit. He won so much at rodeos I worried that it would spoil him but he has turned out to be one of the hardest working guys I know.

He will make roughly double what I do this yr. I am super proud of him and hope you will always be able to say the same thing about her.

Told my daughter (many years ago) if she painted the bottom of my work skiff i'd give her 20 bucks, she jumped at the chance, then talked her younger brother into doing most of the work.
When it came time to pay up she said 40 bucks, 20 for her and 20 for my son... I countered that if she sub let the job she only gets the 20 and she pays her brother half.....

Guess who won? She should have become a lawyer..... cool
