For normal day in, day out sammiches and cheeseburgers on the grill, it's the 120 slice brick of American from Sam's club. Do not get the 160 count. Too thin. For omlets and such, shredded cheddar.
If striving for the ultimate gourmet grilled cheese to impress your friends and neighbors, gotta be a slab of mild WI brick on some form of sourdough bread.

Never heard of Ukrainian cheese. it is a swiss style cheese that Decatur makes that is why I included the link , it is sort of a cross between a muster creamy and a baby swiss slightly acidic , it softens with age I tell the girls at the dairy I will take the softest/oldest you have. not sure it has anything to do with Ukraine I have been buying it since about 2004 back when you went in the door to a very noisy little room between the bulks tanks and shouted out your cheese order and they cut it for you. the built a nice store front addition now

Had to put this out there for info......
Do not get the slices of American cheese from the dollar store.
It doesn't melt. Tastes like crap too. Ended up throwing it out after a couple bites. Don't buy it.

There comes a point liberalism has gone too far, we're past that point.
