What kind of cheese do you people recommend for melting? I prefer full - fat dairy products. Just curious if you people have a preference for a certain kind of melting cheese. Thank you for your time.

Depends on what I'm melting it on, lol. I love most all cheeses except Swiss. I like cheddar, mozzarella and Muenster best for melting, I guess.

Cheddar or mozzarella.
I like an open faced toasted cheeze with old cheddar melted until it starts to bubble under the grill.

What could be better, or more American, than Kraft American Singles! Heck that stuff will melt if you look at it for a couple minutes. I, actually, like it in scrambled eggs and on sausage, egg and cheese biscuits. Melts down nicely and is easier to clean up than the "better" cheeses. Wait, I'm not sure if it's a real cheese. eek

That's not cheese. Akin to calling margarine "butter".

I'm surprised so many mention cheddar. Cheddar, while I like it, seems rather hard to melt. IMO, a good melted cheese is something like provolone.

I been ordering from Amish in Ohio.(Shislers Cheese House) They have some great cheese.
For melting hands down for me is Muenster, also Farmers ,and Butter cheese melts great.

I did up a pizza with the smoked Baby Swiss and it was to die for. I have smoked Chedder as well.

Velvetta is coagulated seed oil. It will light up your joints. In a bad way smile
