I got a notice for jury duty, and I decided to try to be exempt. Every time I was in the pool, and I was questioned, the defense attorney would turn me down after being asked what I did in the Air Force. I don't know why that would disqualify me in their eyes, but it did. I saw no reason to continue to be part of the pool, so I asked to be permanently dropped from the rolls due to age. It was dropped - yipppee - it has been a waste of time for me since I never got to be part of a jury.

Last time I served on jury duty there were two elderly people. I would have guessed were around 90years old. Never heard of getting out of serving because of age. I plan on going when called till I'm either hospitalized or dead. Someone got to put the riff-raff in its place. I've been ask some seriously strange questions also. That for the life of me I couldn't understand what it would mean to the case, but then again I'm no lawyer. I would have given you an exemption based on your length of service.
Is there an age that you don't have to serve? Does it change State to State? Will James reply?

The last time I was sent a notice, I filled it out honestly. Most of the questions were asking if I believed the police. In short, I pretty much said that police testimony, if anything, carries less weight than the average citizen since they are taught how to lie, and it is legal for them to do so (though not under oath). I also stated that in the past, I have personally had police lie on the stand in cases involving myself. I was immediately dismissed and haven't heard a word since.
I BELIEVE IN MY GOD, MY COUNTRY AND IN MYSELF.

Could have told them you were a trapper right out of the chute, they would have cleared you out quicker.

I had Jury duty twice in 30 years. Once in Milwaukee when they had Video footage of a POS trying to sell Ice and Crystal Meth in a Middle School Playground. We found him Guilty and when I read it off I added that he should get the Death Penalty. Got called into the Judges Chambers and yelled at but the Prosecutor lady just kept smiling. 2nd one was in Ritchie County WV where a man shot another man for messing around with his wife. Believe it or not if he had shot them both he would have got less because it would have been out of Rage and he would have been proven temp Insanity.
God please keep they 19 fallen UBB miners out of trouble up there.

Never been called.
My dad gets called every 3 or 4 years. He's been on state and federal cases.
The last time he got called the DA was shocked my dad voted not guilty. It was a police "brutality" case and my dad is a registered dem. I think the DA thought my dad would vote guilty because of it. He told the DA afterwards that if he could he'd give the cop a medal and the guy who was "beaten" would've gotten hung.

they want to make sure there are no subject matter experts on the jury
they hate it when you can use your life experience to question the half truth their expert witness is selling.
America only has one issue, we have a Responsibility crisis and everything else stems from it.
