He got 50 straight on his southern cats with feet..kittens..all in
He got 50 straight on his southern otters with the feet( he has 50 left to sell)
40 on his mid western yotes with feet
And 15 for his reds with feet
His payday today was 4 grand.

I sold 27 pieces of leather for 20.00s straight.
That was just a small portion of his fur.
The bulk goes next week to our big buyer.
He still has 300 beaver,75 marten,50 otter, 250 coons, and 90 gray foxes.
He's holding his rats and castor.
The guy he sold the fur to today spoke foenit last fall.

Good! It's all about how you market your fur and the amount of effort you put forth to prepare it. It shows in the prices. Keep us informed about your next week's sales. You probably already have a pretty god idea what your $ will be. He's figuring he's gonna have an 18,000.00. To 20,000.00 pay day next week. Obviously he's holding his castor..and hes holding his rats. Sharon and nessmuck we have your.marten. I'm gonna post a.pic of all of them when I get a good days weather and post it

my though is move the stuff when its the freshest. There is gonna be a lot of castor on the market the next couple years. You could try to sell on the trap shed or maybe you could barter it for something you could either sell higher or something you can use. You do not have to sell unless your happy with the price. No one can buy it setting in the freezer not for sale. Well..We like to hold stuff that we can hold..without affecting the quality by holding it.... until it demands a.premium price on The market because we got it and no one else.does..and they want it. ..that marketing strategy has done wonders for our bottomline on occasion.. We can afford to wait for.the price we want in most cases.

Also if you sell.your cstor.now......it's just gonna go in someone elses freezer....to wait to be sold..so why not hold it in yours freezer? That way youll make more.money instead of letting the guy paying 10.00 a.pound for it make the killing when it goes up To 50.plus a pound Straight . And it will..eventually.
What's gonna happen in the beaver hide.and castor market is the beaver hides are going to be so high priced that the castor will now.be not worth anything in comparison to the hides...in.most peoples.minds..
So.. Now people will start saving the hides and throwing away the castor..instead of what they've been doing the last few years..which is...saving the castor and throwing the hide away.

So the.amount of castor on the market..I dont.think..is gonna spike as much as some.people suggest
  Time will tell I guess

The reds are eastern reds. Good color.. no strawbacks and not from PA.
We usually get 25 with the feet for reds but one of our freezer died so we didn't have the space to hold them so he let let them go for 15 and count em. the leather is commercially tanned..I have white, black.and some.rawhide tanned golded.colored.
I might have it sold but not for 100% sure.it as done at American deer and elk leather out of colorado
