I rode nyc subways 5x a week, 2+ hours for 4 years. Plus numerous times outside of that period. It is a distinctly different atmosphere that most would not understand. Anything and everything is possible. People mind their own business.

Someday I want to visit Upstate. Looks like some beautiful country.

I support the Marine.

Excluding the Liberal Democrat cities of
Buffalo, Rochester, Ithaca, Syracuse, and Albany,
Upstate New York is mostly wild & forested, rural farm country
inhabited by conservative, right wing, gun toting patriots.

As a native upstate New York resident,
I have never been to New York City
and have no plans to ever set foot there.

New York City has 39% of New York State's 13.1 million registered voters
with a total city population of 7.888,121 million mostly democrats
so unfortunately, New York State's politics are controlled by NYC.

After graduating from college I took a job working for Sealtest Milk in their receiving plants in and around NYC, Newark,N.J., Webster Ave. in the Bronx, Nostrand Ave, Brooklyn,and Jamaica, Queens. My car was broken into in the Bronx, items stolen. Took subways to Brooklyn and Queens. Worked nights and was afraid for my life. That was close to 60 years ago, the city was a $#%% hole back then.,got out of there in a hurry. Moved to the Adirondacks and have had a wonderful life with family and hunting, fishing, and trapping..Had a friend murdered down there.
The place is a completely different place than rural upstate NY as Walleyed described.Even the people are different.
The choke hold should have gone on the D.A.! The Marine is my hero! I see that DeSantis is contributing to funds to help with the Marine's legal fees..That just earned my vote!God Bless that Marine.
