Doez anyone use garmin fish finders? Having some issues using my 73 sv .

Lazarus its just not very clear or picking up structure. I mostly just use traditional chirp and seems like its not reading like it should.[Linked Image]

If you haven’t done any software updates yet you might try that. I have the 93sv’s on my boat and had that problem and it was a corroded pin so you might check the transducer, cable, and connections for damage or corrosion. I would still update software also. Also if a bad or weak battery or a bad power connection can do funny things to the processor in them if they are not getting full voltage.

You might go into settings and see if something has changed or adjust them and see if that helps. The basstank and Russell marine products have some good YouTube videos on how to do it

MATTKS gave good advice. Double check the transducer mount and clearance. I had mine mounted on the transom, along with another down image transducer for another fish finder. The side image transducer got all sorts of interference from anything mounted on the boat left or right of it. I moved mine to the trolling motor and it works fine up there.
