The cops at the Texas shooting have discounted the actions and story of this individual. I am sorry but the line about mental health not being an issue with the shooter was an immediate RED FLAG when this guy initially spoke. If you shoot countless, random people you most DEFINITELTY HAVE A MENTAL HEALTH ISSUE. As far as I am concerned EVERY mass shooting shooter has mental health issues.

"Allen Police Department wants to inform the public of discrepancies with statements made by a witness to several media outlets. Following the shooting at Allen Premium Outlets, Mr. Steven Spainhouer of McKinney, Texas gave multiple public accounts of his actions," the police statement said. "Inconsistencies between these public accounts and investigative facts led Allen Police Department to conduct a follow-up interview. During this interview, detectives determined that Mr. Spainhouer is not a credible incident witness."

The police response comes after Spainhouer made multiple appearances not only recounting his version of events, but calling for gun control legislation in response to the shooting. In an interview with MSNBC, Spainhouer said that he is a "someone who loves" guns but believed there needed to be "federal and state level" gun control.

"When you get hit with an automatic weapon fire at close range, there is no opportunity for survival," Spainhouer told MSNBC. "I don’t know what the gunman’s problem was, but it wasn’t mental health that killed these people. It was an automatic rifle with bullets."

My gut tells me that it was a guy the gun ban wackos pushed forward to try for a staged victory.

Simplifying it .......... the story was sold as a war veteran, who had seen the horrors of combat, supposedly rushed into save the wounded before the EMS or police had arrived, said the wounds were like you would see in a war (must have been military type weapons), believes in the right to own guns, claiming the shooter was mentally stable and therefore it was simply the fact that he had access to "automatic" weapons that this happened. So if we just had more gun laws this wouldn't have happened.

Sounds like the script was written to get everyone no matter which side you are on to take the bait and just say yep your right, this guy isnt a gun ban wacko, he makes sense, let's just do what he is saying.

Anyone who states "I'm a 2nd Amendment supporter, but..." is a liar.

Very true. And especially so if it is a politician uttering that phrase. But I suppose mentioning that "a politician is a liar" is a bit redundant!
