Another thread got me thinking about this , doing sneaky covert jobs in very noticeable places.

I've done a few....lol

Had a squirrel removal job in the middle of a liberal college campus. Was able to catch the squirrels unnoticed but then had to remove the caged animals by carting them out past hundreds of students located in the quad. I got a kick out of walking past all these young students with the caged animals concealed in a garbage bag. They had no idea.....lol

I once set up a cage trap for a groundhog smack dab in the middle of a lake community. The trap was 15 feet from the clubhouse. Right where everyone walked to the beach. I covered the trap with a cardboard box with electrical warning labels like 'live voltage' and other warnings . Plus had some fake wires and other things sticking out of the box. Surrounded the whole thing with caution tape on sticks. Got in and out early , no one knew except the person in charge of the community who hired me.

What stuff have you done ?

I've taken a lot of pigeons off roofs in trash bags and walking them out hospital doors

I have done some "stealth" beaver sets up under docks where I had to remove deck boards to set and remove traps in a neighborhood full of transplanted Toronto folks LOL
I've also turned down a couple jobs... In July along a creek frequented by a yoga/paddleboarding class (imagine the clientele) and beside a train trestle in a public park where people like to run their dogs off leash and pretend like they're in nature.
Sometimes it's good to assess risk before you accept a work order LOL

Turned down an offer to eliminate a feral cat colony at a popular marina/beach/and walking trail area, there was no possible way!

Trapped raccoons on a National seashore. Not even the rangers knew about it. Carried a letter from NPS in my truck every day. Once in a while a tourist would find a bucket with a trap. One tourist took a trap to a local sporting goods store and “turned it in”. The owner was a good friend. He saw the trap tag and called me.

The number one target animal was coon. Number two was feral cat. Had to burry those quickly. Park Service need to reduce predators that ate bird and turtle eggs. I trapped during the season. Dept of Ag trappers came in the spring. They had no restrictions on how and where they trapped. They were good.
