Off. We have 2 dogs that go in and out as they please so not sure taking our shoes off accomplishes much. Nonetheless I've been married 25 years and have learned if she wants the shoes off, off they come.

Coming from work yes
1) I work in a hospital, you never know
2) I would rather be barefoot in the house

Now if I am working around the house and going right back out I leave them on. I do check to make sure there is absolutely nothing on them though. Mud, chicken poop, or anything else that will get tracked around

On. Unless muddy or snow covered in winter.

Never shoes or boots off unless as mentioned common sense tells you they are muddy or not house worthy. I am in and out many times daily that isn't how I roll anyway. We have a vaccuum and if I make a mess I clean it up as needed. Simple.

Sometimes I leave them on sometimes off. Mostly depends on the weather.

God please keep they 19 fallen UBB miners out of trouble up there.

When I enter my own home, I usually take them off if I have been walking on anything that might get tracked in. If a guest arrives, I tell them to leave them on or their feet will get dirty. If I am at someone else's home, I will take them off or ask them if I should remove them.

I'm just happy to be here! Today I'm as young as I'll ever be and and older than I've ever been before!

Girlfriends daughter requires shoes off immediately as she has a baby crawling on the floor, yet has a dog and a cat in the house. Hmmmmmmm ok.

oh I could understand that at least coveralls off
you get mud and manure all over you during mud season which depending on the year might go 6 months.

lots of farms around here when they built the shop built an office , and showers and such so that they can keep all the mess in the work space and out of the house , painted concrete floors out there that can be cleaned easier.

when I am at the farm I take my boot off at the door and go stocking foot if I am coming in for lunch or I stand on the big mat by the door if I am just popping in to talk.

at home I am in town with a lot less mud and manure

Maybe if you had hardwood/vinyl floors that are easier to clean you could leave em on. Carpet is too much of a pain to clean.

I got myself a seniors' GPS.
Not only does it tell me how to get to my destination,
it tells me why I wanted to go there.

If we had a shoes off rule or I went some place often for longer than a short time I would be doing a MR Rodgers at the door changing to my inside shoes.

I was at a buddy’s house and watched a couple kids get home from track practice. They instinctively kicked their shoes off at the door and left two sets of sweaty footprints across the wood kitchen floor and down the hall to their room. Doesn’t make much sense to me. Unless your shoes have dog crap on em. Lol

I use common sense but usually not, wood floors are hard on my feet. If we had carpet I would take them off.
