I'm not a Putin admirer and I don't want to live under Russian control but I can see Russias reasons for moving into Ukraine. Not saying it's justified or isn't. They have wanted the killing and persecution of ethnic Russians in Eastern Ukraine to stop and its my understanding they have tried diplomatic ways of getting it to end with no results. Second they have said for many years that they have no problem with Ukraine being a sovereign country as long as it was not part of Nato. I'm guessing they see Nato as a threat. But despite their warning nato kept encroaching despite years of warnings from Russia. It's my understanding Russia didn't want to invade and the idea of them wanting to invade other countries doesn't look real probable to me from their actions. And the way the left is running this country and their agendas I don't think I'd trust them as a neighbor either. If we had or were financing bio labs in Ukraine like the one in China we were funding (which congress had said no to some time ago) then I could understand the threat Russia was worried about. That covid thing has been a lie and cover up from the beginning. And the biggest reason for lying and covering up is because you don't what people to know what's going on or what your planning. I don't truth the people running this country right now anymore than I trust Putin and Ukraine is in the pocket of the left leaders of this country. If the two things I mentioned could have been handled properly the citizens of Ukraine wouldn't be dying and having their lives being destroyed right now. And the United States could have made them happen without any problems and it wouldn't have hurt us or cost us anything to do it. I think we poked and prod enough that Russia was backed into a corner to take action. That's my take of it based of my limited knowledge.
I think if China started putting military stuff or biolabs in Mexico we would feel threatened and hopefully take steps to stop it.
Not saying it's right or wrong but I do believe because of those 2 issues Russia felt backed into a corner and our leaders knew they were forcing them to act or back down.

As far as your perspective of me I could really care less what that is, but I enjoy a good conversation.

In my opinion: The Russians should by many accounts win this war if it's unadulterated. That being said that isn't the way the world works. In short terms: Russia will cause some damage but gain very little from this as the cost will be split among enough to keep the playing field the same. Countries like Russia that lack technology and infrastructure will never dominate the world based on ideologies of the past.

So, you agree that rus are/will win. They may see the gain of securing their country to be a good gain. What did we gain from iraq2? The playing field is not the same after iraq2 and the arab spring....iran now has great influence in iraq/syria as a result of those things that we did. How did that benefit the USA?
