Oh Snap trapper O Joined: Feb 2021 Interior Alaska	There are still a few good young men. This is in a remote site. We have to remove this 21" thick concrete pad from BLM land. Has to be in small pieces, 3300#. I must say our business is a young mans type of work and I have a few good men. Never enough since the great illness! I love the smell of burning spruce---I love the sound of a spring time goose---I love the feel of 40 below---from my trapline I will never go!

The employer now has to out pay and train who’s left! My example started at home before this crisis in America! T-REV trapper T Joined: Jan 2020 West GA	Im the youngest one on our crew at 32. I am also the crew leader. Absolutely cannot find anyone younger who wants to work. Even the older guys are never fully reliable. Either burn out from drugs, just plain don’t show up or have criminal charges they have to take days off work to address in court.

My boy had a head hunter reach out to him 8 or 9 months ago and he has a wage / benefits package that is impressive What"s good for me may not be good for the weak minded.
