What are you using for outside security cameras? I got a pretty good idea what I will be buying but would like to hear your reviews and what you have and the pros and cons.
I'm looking at a camera system to work on my phone and that has no subscription for use or service after I install them. What system do you that you pay zero monthly charge to get camera pictures or videos.
Thanks

We have the Simply Safe system. It will give you a great idea of what the backside of the perp looks like about two hours after he has hauled away everything you once owned. Hope that helps.

Wyze…we have like 5-6 of them to go along with our Vivint home security system. What’s cool with their cams in you can talk through them. Yeah, that is the brand I have been looking at Wyze Cam 3V. Question for ya. I don't want to subscribe so if I don't, can I still read the cards and get the date on my iPhone??? I don't want a monthy charge or year billing for a camera system that will only be used at a minium.

I will give you my 2¢ not owning any but from research. You can get solar, batteries or the one that just plugs into an outlet. As far as how much or how fast a SD card is used. Well, that depends on your setting on what you want that camera today. Video, number of pics etc.. I hope Wanna Be chimes in to get firsthand user experience.

One more question on the Wyze camera. Is there a setting that will minimize the data used for the camera? I don't have unlimited internet option with my provider so I don't want to run continuously and just wondering if I can just read the card after removing it.
Do I have to use any internet time to use the camera??

We have the Wyze system. It alerts on your phone while you're away. We live in the country and get all sorts of interesting critters on camera. My wanted the system and found out it was deer eating all her flowers.
As an American I'm growing tired of our ancestors being compared to the migrants of today.

I have Blink and they work good. They have ones with solar panels so recharging is no problem. You can put them up anywhere. I think they cost $100.00 a year and I currently have 5 and going to add more.

So I am needing a system at my remote cabin. Are the Wyze Cam 3V wireless and are they easy to setup to send to your phone with Verizon? Thinking of needing about 5 of them?

Our cameras are AC powered. SD isn’t taken out and read, it’s so you can go back and look at previous minutes/hours/days on the app. Say you go to bed and wake up the next morning and your trash can has been knocked over and trash spread everywhere…speaking from experience. You can go back on the app and see when it occurred and whose dang dog it was, lol. You can even save that portion of the video and let the homeowner know if it happens again, Fido will end up missing. Here’s a pic off the app of some of the cameras…can’t fit them all in. ![[Linked Image]](https://trapperman.com/forum/attachments/usergals/2023/05/full-51940-177851-img_5460.png) Now before anyone thinks anything bad about the camera labeled Zack Room…that’s the “play room” CJ has his gaming stuff in there and Ellie Jane plays in there. We can monitor everything and listen in and even talk through the camera.

Wanna Be >>> how much data from internet do you use with the cameras? Is there a setting I can just view and not get alerts so it isn't using so much data?? Internet time.

Yeah, we have the inside cameras set not to send alerts. I have no idea how much data it uses. Can’t be much cause I don’t have but the minimum and we run an alarm with cameras, Wyze, streaming TV, PS4 or 5 online gaming, a robot vacuum, and God knows what else, and don’t go over. Thank you for all your time. I do appreciate it.
