We have 4 of the Wyze wireless cameras on the exterior of the house. My experiance is that the batteries will constantly drain during cold weather. Ordered one of their solar panel chargers and it failed after 6 months in warm weather. Also, constantly wanting to do an update. Just my experiance with them.

Arlo for me the last few years. Charge twice a year. Had a bobcat at the back door month ago.

Is defender guard wireless? Also, can anyone else verify if the Wyze batteries drain fast, this is going to be a second home and the last thing I want to do is spend my time
there constantly changing batteries in five cameras

They tell me 4 to 6 months. It all depends on what you want that camera to do in setting. If you just live stream than you will get more battery life than 6 months.
