It's at 89 now and they have lots of room to move away from the heat If they choose

Nice! I hope to but my 8 Guinea Keets in the coop tomorrow. I have four, month old chickens in there already. I needed to repair the chicken wire on the roof of the attached enclosure and of course a Robin built a nest in there. They hatched a few days ago so she may have to deal with me in there for a couple of hours tomorrow. The Keets are 2 weeks old and already snatching bugs and flying around in their cage in the garage.

I have nothing clever to put here.

The hottest point should be between 95F to 100F, with enough space from the heat source in the brooder to get down to around 85F.

The ISA Browns are my favorite of the down sexable, production, brown egg layers. They are made by breeding a Rhode Island White Rooster, carrying a gene called indigo, to Rhode Island Red hens. I've been breeding ISA Brown and Golden Comet hens to Rhode Island Red roosters.

Diane set around 320 quail eggs and 110 chicken and guinea eggs today. She last set eggs on Saturday night. We will set 1400 more quail eggs tomorrow or Friday.

We hatched 50 some chickens yesterday.

Keith

They are habit forming I picked up some grass seed in MO the other day at a supply store I noticed when I hear the chick I get a big grin and automatically head in that direction. LOL

Nice.

Our local rural king had about 5 to 600 chicks on sale yesterday for 1.00 each.

They get a new shipment today.

I asked what will you donwith these and she said mark em down more.

They had metal water troughs of chick's for 5.00
for all the chick's in it a few months ago.
Thwy said one lady bought 3 troughs.

I took 16 chickens to the auction yesterday and bought 12 princess pullets..Jerry just shook his head.lll

Here, The chicken craze has ended.

IF IDIOTS GREW ON TREES THIS PLACE WOULD BE AN ORCHARD !
