A few days ago I bought a pit boss vertical smoker.
When I got home I put it together and then I dmoked some hamburgers it took me over 2 hours! Because the heating element was bad it's max temp was 200!!. The reason I bought a electric was because the temp never changes but the tast sure did. Anyway I they are sending me a new element.
.

Yeah, the price will make you think twice. I would never have one if i didn't win it in a drawing.
I have a pellet grill, Charcoal grill, gas brill , blackstone grill and an old fashion wood pit. Got it covered i think.

Are we talking an electric grill or an electric smoker. I'm not an expert, though I do have a gas vertical "smoker"and a PK grill and an Oklahoma Joes offset grill/ smoker, but I wouldn't think a vertical smoker is the right tool for grilling hamburgers but maybe I'm missing something. My vertical gas smoker isn't set up for enough direct heat to grill.

Did look it up and the max temp is getting up there towards grilling temp but it's description doesn't say anything about grilling( I think it said smoking, baking braising, and bbq) while the grills do list grilling as there capabilities along with the other forms of cooking.

Gotcha. My gas smoker won't get hot enough to really cook a hamburger. I'll through wood on my coals on the grill to add some smoke when I'm grilling

Well temp can change in an electric. Not wildly but it can. Mostly due to the wood chips you put in. Need to get mine working again but the element is out of it. Like it more for low temp smoking or hanging fish ribs turkey or other things that won't fit in my other smokers
