Winning is great, who doesn't like trophy buckles, saddles, and a check. That being said, I coached a lot of super talented youth rodeo athletes that are all over the TV come every Oct, Nov, and December. If they showed me some old fashioned try I had nothing but praise for them.

Cool pictures.

Nothing like a good rodeo , or other horse sports, to feel real Americans.

They have a great time I'm super impressed with her horse he's young and so is she but he shows zero sign of anything bothering him. That horse came from an amish man and I know he has never been in that atmosphere it was so loud, the lights and the crowd nothing bothered him a bit.

I'm not sure if he was amish bred but that's who trained him. He's Hancock blood.

Yeah I didn't think Amish could have anything other than black or bay horses. Any other color was too flashy and worldly.

Wheres Cedar Hacker when you need him? If memory serves me correctly he was quite high on those broncy Hancock horses. grin
He is a pretty horse. Hope you didn't spend your whole fur check on him.

So what about your Hancock experience, did ya give them up for the Frenchman stock? grin

That's a big yes! That speed demon has a few minor quirks but he's maybe the best I've ever owned for a ranch pony. My experience with Hancock is very limited but they are a little to stiff and tough for me. They didn't get a reputation for nothing. No offense Cedar Hacker if your out there lurking and I hope u are.

Will add I got a somewhat green double bred peptoboonsmal colt that is getting pretty cool to ride, like really cool fir as green as he is, but just not a big enough horse to be a big country type of ranch horse. [Linked Image]

Those are nice lookin prospects. Years ago when I believed some of the things Rosin would say, he said you had to hide your best up and comers or Heidi and Rylin would make can chasers out of every one of them.

I say it couldn't have happened to a better guy. Hopefully Callie is raising her girls right and you won't have to hide anything from your nieces LOL

And also I agree. I'd sure love to see Cedar Hacker chime in. Not only does he have a great perspective on such matters, but I am getting a little bit worried about him.

Never did Rodeos but I do hundreds of Endurance runs. That is why I go Gaited. 25 miles across WV Mountains Cricks and Hollers is pretty good on a Gaited horse. At least for the Rear end and Back it is.

God please keep they 19 fallen UBB miners out of trouble up there.

Good looking horses right there. The grand prarents took the kids and We ended up staying the night at the fair grounds. I got to really ride that horse for the first time and I pretty much fell in love with him.
