It confounds my mind that they at one time sponsored such a powerful and beautiful, and historical symbol as the Clydesdale draft....

I feel sorry for the farms, trainers and teams who worked so hard in presenting such an incredible icon in the industry. I hope they all go on to a good life in showing the horses.

Local farm has some, they run up to a 6 horse hitch.
Pretty impressive.
Put on demonstrations, local carriage rides

That's good to hear, Dave. I hope they do this anyplace in the world where they have their farms . Other events should love to sponsor them.

I've seen the Clydesdales in their stables at the Busch gardens theme parks. Absolutely spotless. They must muck out every half hour. It actually struck me as being fake. Way too clean. Nobody keeps their horses like that. Not a single cobweb or even dust on the walls. Nary a single cedar shaving was damp too. Those animals get the best care possible.

Crager, amazing, isn't it ? There ARE stables kept that well. As head wrangler and manager, I kept a 40 horse barn full of imported warmblood jumpers and Plaudit and Absarokee bred appaloosas that way. The owners of the place, who were German descent, liked this and demanded a clean, professional presentation to visitors.

Some of the big farms in Kentucky are that way, as well as Ireland and Germany Studs.

But overall, you're right. It takes work to have barns look that streamlined.

Makes the heart glad to see such detailed cleanliness.

Sharon I worked them stables in St.Louis 30 years ago those honory things lived better than most people the stalls were tight where visitors would come to see them and if you didn’t watch they would crunch you I guess just because they could and they are still treated very well at the St. Louis campus

We keep our Barn as spotless as we can. We also never forget a Horse is a Horse and we keep them out in their respective Turnouts and Pastures. You would be surprised how that helps when you ride a lot. They are much more settled and fun to ride. Even my wifes Stud horse Beauty does a lot better especially on longer Trail and endurance rides. It also gives us more time to keep the Barn clean.

God please keep they 19 fallen UBB miners out of trouble up there.

Thanks for the info on these, Jalstat.

I am sure they will have a good future, despite what BUD did . Maybe even better somewhere else.

Yes, Randall, they all got turn out time.

Nice shots . Glad to see them at such nice events.

If only BUD had seen their value in real Americans lives.
