12.66 for skunk

2.58 for eastern raccoon.

Easy math. But still sad.

At least there is still a market.

Bad damaged and unprime is sec 3.
Everything else is sec 1
Eastern is probably the nice big hvy coyotes from North east.
Eastern US is likely everything else besides western.

Groeny rocked on the raw/frozen beaver routes past few months compared to those FH averages for put up beaver.

But, I sure need to send these southern/central bcats up to FH next winter. That's 4 or 5 sales now that avgs have been over $100.

With barely half of the cats selling, they may have only sold two or three lots of your type cat to get that average.

I have never understood why those little, woolly, lusterless arctic fox have done so well in recent years. Just doesn't make sense to me.

A lot of the Artic fox are going to the tourist trade. The general public likes them to hang on their walls. I think they are kind of fascinated with them.

I like working with them.
They are super warm, for those women who want to look good on the lake during winter carnival.
They look great on a koolatuck also.
One guy on the Canadian forum from Arviat puts about 90% of the arctic foxes on each FHA sale.
At one time back in the day Arctic foxes were a staple of the northern fur trade.

In the past when I reviewed the auction results Canadian grade coons typically sold for less then western HVY. In this sale the Canadians sold for twice what the westerns did. Does anyone know where the market for those is at and why so much better?

Yessir...I didn't see that at first. The last few FH sales sold higher percentages....got my attention.

I am sure some of the artic fox go to the hatter market like the one Boco made. The sell thru rate on the lynx cats is pretty low but maybe the better ones will go private treaty when and if the demand is there.

So what were folks averaging on a normal run of raw/frozen beaver with Groeny?

I can only speak for the few I sold this past March......28 frozen pelts...just under $24 avg. All southern GA beaver.

I did watch Groeny's March/April 2023 videos of a couple other buying stops (another in Ga and 1 in NC)...beav avgs were the same.

Groeny frozen otters avgd a little better than this FH sale too....about $30 to $35.

blackhammer- What did you have to do it get some down to you in Minnesota or were you living somewhere else at the time...?
