I had a question on a post you made on Swamp Wolfs post and didnt want to high Jack his thread asking you questions. The snare pole you mentioned is that vertical like you do under ice, or horizontal for a swimming foot catch? Or something else?

Vertical like under ice.
You just have to drive two poles, one on each side, and a crosser as a dive stick to also stabilize the snarepole.the side poles also act as tangle stakes to drown the beaver.
Deadly blind set (deepwater) in a creek,or out in front of a dambreak.
Make up the snarepoles a head of time and they are fast to set up.Just need chestwaders a bit of wire and pliers.
I whacked a lot of nuisance beaver with snarepoles set in the end of big and medium size culverts.I only set snarepoles when there is enough water to drown them.
Not uncommon to get multiple catches.

Forget that fear of gravity-get a little savagery in your life.

Thank you for another trick for problem beaver. I haven’t ever made a snare pole but I will give it a go.
