I was wondering if blacksmithing tools auctions end up lime most gun auctions I have gone to. Prices higher than new for used type thing.

I stumbled across an on line auctio. The ends in wp days with a lot of things I need for the boys. Anvils forge blowers, ect. But it's 4 hrs away a bit far to go inspect it prior to biding and I would have to go back to pick any winnings up. I have a hard time telling how large each anvil is. They have them from 2" jewelry anvils to over 2' blacksmith anvils
I'm guessing prices will really jump right at lthe end of the auction.

Any tools for blacksmithing are bringing top dollar and have for several years. Not all anvils are worth bringing home either. Doing a rebound or ring test tells PART of the story on an anvil. I forge Iron is a great information source to get started with.

I don't know much but all anvils should specify weight it gives you a better idea of how big and how constructed , many people will pay x per pound for an anvil
