I've caught over 40 raccoons with this trap. I'd say it's done it's job.

Just go to your local Tractor Supply store and buy a dog proof raccoon trap like the suggestion above. The raccoon is on to cage traps, so use something it isn't used to.

Had a problem coon that wouldn't get caught. Was reaching through above the added smaller wire on the back of the cage trap. Wired a dog proof inside against the rear of the cage. Hand in the cookie jar in the morning. He looked very embarrassed.

Agreed. You shouldn't move the problem so someone else has to deal with it and the antis would have a field day if people are seeing spray painted coon running around
