Hello everyone and this is my first post on this foum. I am not actually a trapper, but tag along with a good friend when he his trapping and I relly enjoy it and have learned a lot from him. He is the one that suggested I post on here regarding an issue I have with a gopher. I have read so many different solutions on the internet that have me even more confused. I have a gopher in my yard that over the course of a few days made around 10 mounds in my lawn over about a 30 foot area. Does anyone have any ideas on how I can get rid of the dang thing ? Any help would be apprciated.

First of all welcome to T-man! I average about 500 of the little buggers every year and mainly use a Death Clutch trap. Locate the hole and clean it out making sure no large clods of dirt have rolled back out of reach. Any such blockage will cause them to plug the hole. Insert your trap making sure it's lined up with the hole and not blocking an intersection. After staking it down I usually throw a little dirt to cover the bottom of the trap. Sometimes I'll wad up a ball of grass to partially plug the entrance but that's not always nessasary. This is just one way to catch'm.

Yes, welcome to Tman. I trap the nasty little buggers too. Good advice from 20scout. I use the same trap he does. About the only thing I do different is I have better luck covering the hole I made with a cover. If I don't, I find I have too many holes that the gopher plugs up.

Wife: That's the 4th time you've gone back for dessert, doesn't that embarrass you? Me: No, I keep telling them it's for you.
