Still here, I had two stuck this morning. 1 wood, 1 deer. I do think there are fewer of them now then a couple of weeks ago.

Not here in the NE part of the state. Pick asparagus for ten minutes and pick ticks for the rest of the day.

Had 2 here today. Was a bumper crop of them this year.

Tick season lasts from the time they warm up enough to move to the time it cools to the point they can't around here.

If I am planning on working where a tick might be I am spraying repellant on my clothes (pants from knee down at the least)

I guarantee a 50 yard walk in the timber here will net more than you care to search for. Until cwd takes the deer numbers down it will continue to get worse. Not even seedtick season here yet.

Its worse in early spring but It’s year round here. I get those black long legged ticks even in winter time on days that are fairly warm. When I was a kid we only had one kind of tick, what we called dog ticks. Now there are three.

Chigger season here, also in full swing. If you didnt bathe in bug repellant before you pick blackberries, you might end up scratching all your hide off. Oh, and lets not forget skeeters. My back deck is 100 ft above thousands of acres of backwater and swamp. You can hear them waking up as the sun goes down

Typically tick season here runs from snow melt until the around the middle of July, pretty hard to find a tick here by August.
