I have a grease gun with a flexible rubber tube......didn't use it a whole lot .....fast forward to my new equipment purchases..tractor + 4 implements, it sucks trying to grease fitting with this flexible hose and pump the gun at the same time....I have all dewalt cordless tools, the cordless grease gun is $300..is this thing worth it, or is there something that makes life easier on that end...TIA

an electric grease gun is much faster and easier. if thats worth 300 bucks to you then buy it.

The DeWalt cordless grease gun is worth every bit of it!!! . . . ALSO! . . . get the LockNLube Grease Gun Coupler fittings from Amazon. It's $35 and you'll not regret it!

Electric grease guns are nice one thing on the lock on gun ends they don’t fit in every spot a regular one will but they are nice.

SJA you’re right about that, I didn’t explain that very well I meant that it doesn’t fit into the area as well as they’re a little longer.

I have an old baler that I much prefer a straight rigid shaft on for some zerks as they are recessed up in a tiny hole about 8 inches. I have a few grease guns and just switch for what I need but have not yet got a battery powered gun.

I'm running (2) Milwaukee M18 Grease Guns (1) for the tractor/attachments and (1) dedicated for Marine. Battery operated is worth it for a tractor and attachments will all those zerks- you'll love it.

I prefer a manual grease because it's lighter plus if you drive over a manual gun it's not a big deal. Yes, I have driven over a grease gun with a crawler loader. Yes, I have a battery powered grease gun. I think it's a bit easier to gauge how much grease you're pumping with a manual gun.

If you're doing a 8 > 10 hour greasing on heavy equip, I'll take a little weight over hand squeezing every zerk and cramping up anytime . . . unless some people are used to hand squeezing things . . . grin

Same here. I just switch guns when needed.

I was hoping

any way the locking Zert fitting for the gun is the way to go no matter what grease gun you use

I have a one hand pump with the locking end on a rubber hose , gets in most every where I need and some where I have a right angle adapter also

i have a few other grease guns also but that locking end is so nice I seldom use them other than the one I keep with marine grease for the boat

Lucas Red and Tacky #2 is my favorite non marine grease

this is the coupler I have
https://www.amazon.com/Toolly-Coupler-Locking-Standard-Fitting/dp/B08FC9Y2LP/ref=sr_1_59?crid=1LJZGOXYMTGBW&keywords=locking+grease+fitting+coupler&qid=1686453480&sprefix=locking+grease+%2Caps%2C154&sr=8-59

i bought it some years ago before I saw the lock and load
it works

If you milk a goat by hand, you get used to squeezing things . LOL!

Got the Dewalt, been beating around in back of my truck over 5 yrs. Used regularly on all equipment. Completely filthy. Can’t even look at it without getting grease on you. Gets rained on, hitch pins dropped on it, zero maintenance or care given to it. Still pumping grease all over ya!

If you have all the batteries it would make sense to get a dewalt. I personally own a Milwaukee and love it, but all the cordless grease guns will do all you want.
