The Gf is getting into growing herbs and other medicinal plants. Not trying to cure cancer or anything just stuff for home remedies and the like. She's three or five kinds of mint ,rosemary , and some other stuff goring like nuts and wanna surprise her with some more. So for y'all who are into holistic and natural medicine and the like what are some y'all would recommend ? Already have
Knit bone
Sage
Yarrow
Mugwart
Valerian
Thyme
Dandelion
Aloe
On the list
Also what's some good seed starting kits ? She's can do started plants great but she said she struggles really bad with seeds

If you have some well drained soil and 70-75% shade, try some goldenseal (yellow root) and some ginseng.

Elderberry should be number one on your list. It has chemicals in it that prevent viruses from being able to attach to cells, to replicate themselves. It's been used for medicine since before the time of Ancient Greece. It was thought to be magical during the Middle Ages.

Remember hearing about golden seal a while ago. Think it was popular along the colodial silver stuff. And doesn't sang' take a few years to grow till it's ready for harvest or is that only in its wild state ?

Cultivated it can mature in 4/5 years but the cultivated stuff is considered inferior to the wild

Once the juice from the berries is cooked, elderberry is GRAS (generally regarded as safe) Don't consume any other parts of the plant.

Take a look in the pharmacy section the next time you shop. They are putting elderberry in dozens of medicinal products and supplements.

The bark of willow is a natural aspirin.

I drink Labrador tea every morning. They say it can cause stomach issues with some. I also drink green tea, and Hibiscus tea for their health benefits .It lowers blood sugar and fights off cancer.
