Aat least planting in the snow helps in a couple ways. !. You know where you have been and where the planted trees are! Also with the snow melting you won't have too much dry soil for quite a while. We had some farmers with their alfalfa seeding in and got 3-4 inches on top of that. That is good with a small grain nurse crop but not so good with legumes alone as the soil cools way back down again.

The new gel I mixed up this spring has already turned to mostly a liquid
