I have no idea why you would avoid Leupold. They have had some of the best glass, for the money, for decades. I own several and have never had to test the lifetime warranty.

I have a Leupold on my 300 Weatherby M V. If I can see it, I can hit it dead on.

I shoot for a living. I have tried many brands of scopes. I now use exclusively Leupold. I did have a high end Nikon scope one time and it was of high quality, durable, with low glare at sunset, as well as good light gathering ability in low light conditions, but I don't think they make them anymore.
Can you beat a Leupold? Maybe, but I haven't found any yet. You can certainly find a more expensive scope than Leupold, but better? I don't think so.

Not sure if they still make it but I have a Vari-X 3, 4.5 - 14 X 50. Target turrents, side focus, mil dot. They should have something available. Look at the target/tacticle models.

You used question marks, but what was the question?

Does Leupold make a scope set up like my Muller pictured ? Need target turrets , basic mildot ret and preferably an adjustable objective. So do they make a scope like that and if so what's the model ?

Dropped a rifle out of a stand(unloaded). The objective was the first thing that hit the bottom step. I called Leupold to inquire about what it might cost since this was clearly abuse. They said send it in and warranty would cover it. I even repeated to the representative that the damage was clearly abuse. He repeated that the warranty covers it. Got it back in about a week after Leupold received it.

Couple of reasons but for what I'm doing right now they seem they would be a good place to go , forgot to add , also interested in older models that may not be produced anymore but can still be found on the used market possibly

I'm a Leupold fan myself, I own several brands of scopes, but more Leupolds than everything else combined. Several models are available with turrets, mil dot reticle, and AO. The Mark IV is what I run on my long range rifle, and it has all of these plus fantastic glass and light gathering abilities. There are newer models available with greater ranges of magnification and various other features, but I have used the Mark IVs fairly extensively and have been very happy with them, and have limited experience with the newer high end models. They make some cheaper Vari-X II and III models with turrets and I believe you can get them with mil dot reticles, that are good for the money if you are on more of a budget.

Also being a military vet be sure and sign up for their CORE (I believe is what it is called) and you get a significant discount. They offer it to military, law enforcement, and active hunting guides. Discount varies according to product but usually in the 30-40% (off of suggested retail, so not off of the cheapest price you can find in a store) range.

I have always heard excellent things about Leupolds warranty, but I've never had to use it. Practically every other brand of optic I own I have had to test their warranty. Vortex also has an excellent warranty and customer service, but if you use their products the way I do you WILL end up using that warranty, at least on everything but their very high end line.

I'm not up on all the current models but they are my preferred brand. That said $300 min to start sometime is more than I want to spend.

I have form vx2 to mark 4s. I like them all. My go to cheaper optics are Burris full fields.

I have played with night force SHV. It was nice but heavy.

X 1,000 for walleyed as well.

Vari-X III Gold Ring scopes are all I own.

Another little thing is Leupold rifle scopes are made in AMERICA !!!!!!! laugh

Beaverton, Oregon, USA.

For that reason alone, you should be buying Leupold.
