Hot dry year.
Can I legally go to the river and dip 5-6 buckets of water for the flowers at the mailbox ?

I don't see why not. All farmers irrigate from the river if they have frontage.

Public landing.
Just had a DNR officer make some remarks.
So to me it becomes a legal question?
Not sure if I know what the answer is.

Just another law enforcement officer drunken with power
showing how well he protects & serves the citizens
who he works for and who pay his salary.

That being said, Is the area the water is being removed from
within the great lakes watershed ?

I have lived in the Great lake state my whole life, my garden is watered with water I draw from the lake in my front yard. I know of no restrictions of the sort.

you're only allowed so many sunrises... I aim to see every one of them!

What better use for the revenue from selling hunting and fishing licenses, the main source of funding for the Michigan DNR, than paying an agent for harrasing a hardened criminal using public water to provide flowers with sustenance, is there?

Naw the main source is selling timber and selling off public land Pittman Robertson funds are allocated to hiking trails and blocking off access to public lands

The Great Lakes water compact includes the states of Illinois. Indiana, Michigan,
Minnesota, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, & Wisconsin plus the Canadian Provinces of
Ontario & Quebec which prohibits the diversion of water from the Great Lakes watershed.

Only approved water diversions with a permit are allowed.

You may be in violation if you don't have a water use diversion permit.

If so, you may be going to jail !!! laugh

It is on the Kalamazoo River.
A public landing site.

Mumbled something about depriving others of recreational value ?

I continued on and replied I would be done and gone in a couple minutes and the landing is all his.

6 buckets, minus what ever amount of liquid my dog left on the edges of the water.

Thx guys ,
I think I would fight that one , just for the publicity.

Most cities in lower Michigan suck there water out of the great lakes. They put there inlet pipes out about a mile so they don"t suck up some pee from the people who swim by shore.. Larry
