Just noticed FHA accounts have been updated to show PT sales from both before and after the sale. Some PT sales occurred between the March sale and the May sale as well as after the May sale. PT can occur at anytime.

The name Fur Harvesters Auction is a bit misleading when there’s a private room to buy fur in.

How much fur did you have there JP and how much of it was PT'd?
I had 132 pelts there and all sold at the auction.

Had 51 pelts only/9 species and one pelt sold PT. Not complaining.

Just my mink and Gr2 West castor didn’t go. Averaged $7.28CA for Gr1 West castor.
Wonder why the Gr2 didn’t go? Says $69lb on their site.

I had 28 pelts there. 24 sold at auction, 3 sold private treaty, 1 not sold.

The 3 that sold private treaty were fox.

How do you know which skins they were?
Or maybe I was just being my usual polite self so you wouldnt feel bad,lol.
Seriously,there is no raw fur market for fox coon etc.Dont trap or send that junk to auction go trap some marten and beaver.

When no one will pay a fair price for the raw pelt.
I take some beautiful foxes in winter-not many but a few,I would not and have not sold them on the raw fur market for quite a few years.
They are worth far more when tanned and worked up a little.I would sooner let them run than give them away to someone who will make bank on my labour.Dont get me wrong,I got no problem with someone making money in the pipeline,but not at my expense,I wont subsidize someone else.
If they avg $50 I wiould go after more,sort out the ones that get downgraded and tan, and sell the bulk to auction.
