Does anyone know if Par 3 will kill the roots of poison ivy and prevent it from growing back next year and years to come?

I’m finally tackling this stuff this summer and not sure if I’ll need to spray yearly or if it’s a one and done.

I had some in my woods several years ago. Sprayed it with Round Up. That killed it and has never come back.

I already used the Par 3 and it is killing the plants right now. They are turning red and shriveling up.

I’m just not sure if they will grow again next year.

Good to know the round up killed them with no return. I believe Par 3 is more toxic.

there are certain sprays specific to kill poison ivy
yours will come back from the root system this or next year
you have to be careful because the dead stems or roots when snapped send out a white sap that is X100 worst than the leaf touch

Poison ivy drops a large amount of seeds, that will sprout, once the original plant is killed, once they can get more sunlight. You will probably have to spray annually until the seed bank is empty.

Ok I guess I’ll find out over the next few years. I have a lifetime supply of the spray, so I’ll be ready!

woody plants are easier to kill in late Fall. Spray now and again in the Fall.

General rule is a slower death will put more chemical into the roots which results in a better kill.
