Wondering if anyone out there has ever used any type of GPS or tracking device's on any of their equipment (outboards, boats, snowmobile, ATV'S, etc.) to try to track them in case they would be stolen and if so what type and what the cost would be? I just replaced my outboard (25 years old) on my jon boat with a new Yamaha and was thinking of a way to maybe be able to track it in case it might go missing.

apple air tag hidden in the cowl would be the least expensive

limited range and an apple device needs to be within 30-50 feet of it but maybe would give clues

America only has one issue, we have a Responsibility crisis and everything else stems from it.

I’m a big fan of the Apple Air Tag. I originally purchased one after hearing about a guy that recovered his stolen gun at nationals with one last year. More recently here locally a guy recovered his stolen atv due to an air tag being fixed to the upper side of the storage box in the rear or it.
Some of my guys at work have been placing air tags in their tool bags after one had a tool back stolen most like.y by one of the many contractors we had onsite during an outage.

Haven't used any there's lots of options out there including TILE, apple. There's some you can hardwire to vehicles. Just see Michellen has a tire that you can install a GPS monitor
