Planning to run three lines instead of two. Aim to make at least an extra 10g over last season while the mileage is still low on the new ace

God willing I plan to do a fair amount of trapping. Always a mixed bag of furbearers for me.
Right now I’m having amnesia and déjà vu at the same time. I think I’ve forgotten this before.

I have been on and off the past couple of seasons because of fur quality and warm winter temps here in the N.C. mtns. This year I'm hitting it from day one and plan on a season-long small trapline on my property. It's all I can manage and work a full-time job. We are seeing Armadillo in my area. Does anyone have experience with them? What value do they have? I think I remember seeing them as legal species on the NCWRC website. Asking about Armadillo in advance, I'm sure somewhere along the journey I will catch one.

Something is going on here in past years I would get skunk calls every week sometimes several in a day even the year round. I’ve not had a skunk call in several weeks now I have never had a gap like this before.
Was born in a Big City Will die in the Country OK with that!

I plan to look for a few beaver if it does not involve too much travel. I just got another freezer so have room for more now.
I'm just happy to be here! Today I'm as young as I'll ever be and and older than I've ever been before!

Forget about coon rats mink fox and coyote, unless you have an alternative to the raw fur market. Trap prime otter, beaver, marten, fisher, and cats. Skunks if you have a bunch would be worth targeting too,as well as ermine. Prime Wolf and bear are bringing good money right now if you have them and know how to skin and dry them correctly.

More than last year. Yep.
More for nest predator reduction for the turkeys than anything else. Gonna grab a dozen new DP's for that. And put a little more effort into the canine sets than last year.
Also have a plan to take more advantage of our short fisher season.
