Looking for some good reading material, just finished Crow Killer and really enjoyed it. Anything similar that y’all would recommend?

Hanger I agree crow killer was a good book

I’ve read a few different versions of the mad trapper of Rat River. But they were all more of a story line put together of what happened. They all differed a bit because they haven’t figured out exactly who he was and where he’s from.

Probably one of the most important non-fiction accounts of that time period.

Journal of a Trapper by Osborne Russell

Three against the Wilderness. I believe it was about the Collier Family in Alaska.

Alaska Wolfman. All time favorite for adventure and trapping.

Give Your Heart To The Hawks

I just finished reading this one. It’s a great read and very well researched.
I much prefer accounts that are either first-hand or researched with footnote documentation. I’ve read most of the firsthand accounts of the era and have enjoyed all of them.

My girlfriend just got me this book and I have just started reading it. Looks very good so far.
