So the guys have stared giving me weird looks when they come down I don't have something in the usual little place I put all the stuff I cook so since they finished the cake off the other day decided to do something else. Was gonna do a peach cobbler like greencountry reccomended managed to find some vanilla tucked away and we had some bananas going out and a bag of pecans about to be empty so .







Eveyone kept coming in looking over my shoulder...well head lol , asked what they where doing and they said they wanted to know what smelled so good this time

I've heard bananas on their way out like you have are better than using fresh for that recipe.

My grandmother taught me to use the black bananas for muffins or banana bread

I often freeze them then when I have 4 of them make a banana bread, I feel freezing them makes them easier to mash and gets more of the flavor out of them. Also 3/4 cup sour cream, Greek yogurt, or vanilla yogurt helps keep the muffins of bread moist.

I won't let a banana on a boat that I am on. On one of my deliveries the owner and a couple of friends of him wanted to come along for the ride and they turned up with bananas .... They ate them on the dock before they came on board. i told them to eat them there or trash the things but they are not coming on board.

Scuba, why do you harbor such animosity for bananas?
They've always been a harmless and even fun fruit IMO. Chocked full of potassium too.
I have fond memories as a child of Saturday morning cartoons and a bowl of Rice Krispys with bananas.

Never heard of a banana superstition , Back in sailing days, they'd hang a stalk of green bananas on the mast on the southern end, and have ripe bananas by the time they got back north.

So was told I'm now required to have some of these made at least every other day
Made a batch up last night ,took them out the over turned around for less then 30sec and one of them heathens managed to do this
