I know Buck personally, he's been to my house, came to a buddy's house i was staying at while predator trapping, watched me put up fox/coyotes/cats. Like him or not he came from nothing in rural Ms. and did well for himself. And he never claimed to be an expert trapper!

i don't think he ever made a claim to theoretical physics just mechanicing on reactors. That's smarter than this parts swapper.

Hupurest went green. He admittedly sold his guns and bought a camera. I met him in Anchorage and had supper with him. Traded him NE sweet corn for smoked sockeye. Good guy.

Buckne once told me about weather trends in my area of the world like he lived here and had a better understanding of our weather than I did. I think I replied with something about even though I drink milk I’d still listen to a dairy farmer if he said something about cows.

I thought he succumbed to radiation poisoning.

I’m pretty sure he didn’t like anyone having an opinion that didn’t line up with his. I remember a few members giving him a hard time over that and he took his ball and went home.

Would be rough to maintain a trapline with his work schedule. Met him while he was refueling a plant in Illinois. Had a couple beers with him.
