I need to get a toilet supply line (1/2" pex) to the otherside of this post.
Do you think a 3/4" hole drilled a few inches above my plate would affect the intergity?
I don't feel it would, whats your thoughts?

I doubt it would be a problem at all.
See holes drilled in joists all the time,and the force on them is on the span.
Im not a structural engineer though.

The post will be fine, the problem will arise when the water line freezes up in the exterior wall, I'm thinking.

It will be spray foamed, I'm not afraid of it freezing.
I will go ahead and drill it...thanks fellas.
