Attention Montana Ag producers, hunters, trappers, houndsmen, wildlife managers, etc.
Things got a bit quiet towards the end of the legislative session with regard to our little buddy and Executive Director, Stephen Capra, of Footloser fame. Shortly after the initial hearing on HB372, the little guy seemed to have gone missing. No one saw him on the hill, nor heard anything from him. He did manage to make a couple Zoom-ins, but that was it. At the end of May it was announced he had departed as the Executive Director and was going back to New Mexico. Come to find out, that didn't last long. It was a ruse. He has started his own animal rights organization here in Montana. One can only surmise, the money must be too good to pass up. (Oh, and by the way, the footloosers are looking for a new Ex Director at $70K+/year)
This brand-new animal rights activist organization here in Montana is called, Bold Visions Conservation, based in no other than Missoula, and headed up by nonother than Stephen Capra himself. It boasts that Bold Visions Conservation is an organization dedicated to fighting for wildlife and protecting our public lands so wildlife may thrive. Their intent is to use tools like National Monuments and Wilderness to protect lands allowing wildlife to thrive, among the usual blather about grizzlies, wolves, beavers, bison, coyotes, trapping, FWP reform and now, adding mountain lions into the mix.
