rental or purchased if soo what do they run.
I can see where if it worked good and weren't too crazy they could save a lot on small jobs under a minimum delivery and avoid the issues of a truck

I have seen video of them , seems like a very interesting idea would sure speed up mixing

I have a tub style that will take 2 bags and water and mix decent for small jobs

this seems a lot more continuous

Definitely looks handy. Agreed on better than wheelbarrow

Ready mix wanted enough that I thought I was worth the money for short loads
Are short loads are 6.5 yards now, used to be 4, cement is 120 for me 165 for the public
One yard delivered is 600

It will run about 60 bags a hour, probably more with a helper

if you can save yourself 375 on every 1 yard job it will pay for it's self in a hurry

We have one at work. It's called the concrete crapper. We use a special mndot spec mix. The mix sets much faster than mixing in a drum mixer. We feel this is due to it not being over mixed by the paddles.

I worked as a batch man/manager at a ready mix concrete plant for a few years. I bet the slower set time is due to concrete company using fly ash and admixes. Fly ash is a fine powder, by product of coal burning. Much cheaper than cement, can be used at rates of 10-30% without effect on strength. Slows set time, actually a good thing down here in summer. Admixtures or plasticizers increase workability and fluidity allowing less water to be used in production, giving better strength. Some products do slow set, some no effect.
