I’m pretty sure the plant in the first pic is toast… do y’all think the others will make it?? Do I need to cut the yellow leaves off?? I’ll never use roundup again,,, I tried to be xtra careful not to get it on my plants but somehow it did [Linked Image]

I wouldn’t think so as dead as that grass looks. I’d think the tomatoes are more sensitive then that crab grass would be.

Pull the cages before you mow them down.

They look fine. Not even sure the first one is toast. Give it some water and see what it does.

Just give me one thing, that I can hold on to. To believe in this livin' is just a hard way to go.

Two weeks ought to tell the story. You may be able to breed some roundup ready tomatoes and get a patent, lol.

you should of covered your plants before you sprayed. roundup is a contact killer if it doesn't touch the plant it wont kill it

Even if they die try and find some young plants. I replanted after my garden flooded in 2001 on July 10th and still harvested a bunch of tomatoes.

That first one is a little tough looking. Round up takes a long time to work. You aren't out anything just leaving it. If you sprayed that grass around the tomatoes with round up, you probably got too close. I would stay at least a foot away with a sprayer. Drops can bounce off leaves and land on adjacent plants. Better yet, use a wiper. Just don't let it drip.

Take some suckers off those plants and putt them in the ground, they should make maters.

I had some that looked just like that after the farmer sprayed his field a hundred yards away in a slight breeze. It took three weeks to a month but none survived.

Hopefully that's not the case for you.
