With the cattle prices that might be a good idea if she is still open. Unless you need a lot of burger. I could make more as meat but no slots open at my butcher. I'll come out ok if the market stays up

so does keeping her if not breed That's one thing I learned watching dad lose money on cattle. Costs the same to feed one that settles and one that didn't but only one of the two will make you money.

You can take her to the auction but have the vet preg check her when you get there. Unless you are a brucellosis free state, there will always be a vet there on sale day. Knowing then, if she is bred or open you can choose to take her back home to calve out, or sell her as a bred cow. Selling a nice looking cow guaranteed to be bred and with a likely calving date brings way more money than weighing one up.
