Every one is different, I prefer holistic remedies. Especially when concerning cancer prevention or treatment. I'm not a doctor. I have watched several family member and friends suffer miserably from chemical treatment. About eight years ago I was battling exellerated psa levels. About double 13-15 range. We had just lost my mother in law to lung cancer. I had been researching natural remedies. I came across a prostate treatment that sounded crazy. To simple to be true. An old man had done a video obout being diagnosed with stage 4 prostate cancer. He used this treatment and 12 years later still alive and kicking.
So I looked fore similar testimonials using the same treatment. Like I said it sounds to simple to be true. I've been using this treatment for the past eight year and my psa levels have been steady at the high end of exeptabe. Dissolve one tsp of baking soda and one tsp molasses in 1 cup hot water and drink like tea. You don't want to do this with in at least a half hour of eating. The baking soda reduces your stomach acid and may cause a belly ache. It may efect the results of the treatment. This is the theary why this treatment may help keep the cancer at bay. Baking soda is hostile to candida. A bacteria that is known to be contributed to cancer growth. Candida will not consume the baking soda alone. The molasses is sort of a Trojan horse. Molasses is food to candida and it costumes the backing soda along with the molasses. Killing the candida. If you have elevated levels of the candida bacteria. The first treatment or two will go through you like fat through a goose. If you're friend or anyone is interested. In more of my experience on this just pm me with questions. Like I said, I'm not a doctor, don't claim to be. I wish your friend the best in what decision he makes. Rich

I know a few people who have had their prostates surgically removed. Some a long time ago. They all seem to be doing well. I know one fellow who had the radiation and he has had ongoing problems.
From what I understand prostate cancer treatment is quite sucessful if caught early. And since it is a slow growing cancer in most cases treatment is very often successful.
Forget that fear of gravity-get a little savagery in your life.

10 years ago I was diagnosed with prostate cancer from my PSA numbers. Over a 2 month period I had 37 radiation treatments....since then I have blood tests every 3 months testing my PSA numbers and they have remained at near zero. That said, there have been a lot of improvements/updates in testing and treatments.

I also know peaple who have lived many years after removal. One had the cancer return. And he went through chemical treatments and passed quite quickly. You just never know. I was scheduled for a biopsy and they wanted a cat scan. I got so sick from the solution they use in the cat scan I thought I was a dead man. I've had the same type of anafalctic reaction from Anastasia. That is why I opted for going with natural meamady.

I know a few fella's who all dealt with prostate cancer , some had it removed with radiation therapy all, seem to be doing very well . I dealt with throat cancer 7 weeks basically in the hospital getting chemo treatments each Friday and daily radiation treatments 5 days of the week for all 7 weeks .
My suggestion is no matter how sick you may get keep eating food , feeding tubs aren't fun period ! With all the advancements with cancer treatments I wouldn't hesitate starting treatments another thing get your teeth checked by a dentist you really trust , a problem tooth get them pulled don't do this during treatments !
My wish would of been that my dads prostate cancer would've been found sooner he may of survived same thing with my mom and ovarian cancer I still miss them both .

I was diagnosed with prostate cancer 12 years ago. Had 42 radiation treatments and 4 chemo treatments over several months. My PSE tests have been near 0 since. I was lucky, caught it early. You guys over 50 get a PRA test yearly, you are apt to save your life if you catch it early. Side affects. Lower bowel , gets some damage with the radiation, still have loose stool, at times. I have good control of urine, . Some damage to one hip joint ,blood vessel was damaged, a year later, had to have a replacement, radiation is close to hip ball. I had a friend that had his prostate removed, it was sucessful, but he lost control of urine had to wear pads. I am sure that a lot of progress has been made since . Had mine done. Good luck, with what you decide, to do. old243

I forget to mention Aquaphor is fantastic for the area of your radiation treatments , get the tub of it instead of the squeeze tube it's some thick lotion that can be difficult to squeeze during treatments .
My last treatment was nearly 5 1/2 year's ago so as others have mentioned I'm sure things have improved greatly since then.

The only possible side effects I have or may have is more frequent urination. And my treatment was 10 years ago so it could something else....
A friend of mine recently had his removed....about 5 or 6 holes in his abdomen....and is recuperating very well. It was done laproscopically....2 days in hospital and released.
Originally I was upset with their choice of treatment as the hospital was 180 miles away. But friends had a near empty house that I stayed in Mon. - Fri.
