Was thinking about this tonight, and it was in something ago that I expected it.
I am a Christian believer but I was lucky ? enough to experience some Native culture.
I am not saying I was on the back of a wasp flying though Egypt, seeing the pyramids.
I believe there is something about visions

I have not figured out visions…….yet
They are doing mushroom therapy in Mexico for mental and booze

I am hoping I am not a Wasp, trying to mellow in my years.

Today is a gift, that is why it is called the present

Not sure if it’s the same thing but one of our friends and tour guides in Costa Rica is fascinated with the native there. He told us that some Americans pay top dollar to do some sort of hallucination type ritual the natives in Costa Rica do and they claim it resets your mind. Some of our Hollywood celebrities have done it with supposedly great results. Don’t remember anything about mushrooms but frogs come to mind as the drug used.

Josh Gates did that in one of his shows in Peru. It was a crazy tea though

Here in the U.S. some indians seeking a vision would dance in hot weather, not taking any water or food till they collapsed. This would bring about a vision.

There is a book called black elk speaks that describes the beliefs of some tribes. I read it a long time ago. Not sure if its still available but drugs were not a part of the ceremonys.

Those who would give up essential liberty, to purchase a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety. Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790)

If drugs are involved isn't it more like a hallucination than a vision?

The Quichua Indians that I worked with in Ecuador's amazon region typically ingested a strong tea of ayahuasca to seek visions. They typically have an out of body experience with it. I tried it once and figured the reason your soul leaves the body is because your body is just about dead. Never puked so much in my life! And yes, I experienced visions. Nothing I would ever do again though.

My fear of moving stairs is escalating!

I think some are confusing a drug induced hallucination with a vision.

Nothing that a 40 of whiskey wont cure.
I bet them amazons would get some visions after couple bottles of wisers deluxe.

Forget that fear of gravity-get a little savagery in your life.
