I had my right hip replaced in July of 2019. Everything went well. They said I could walk all I wanted, but I don't think wading sloughs, walking on ice, carrying 5-6 gallon sap buckets were their idea of walking. I do walk about 15 miles a week. The last month that hip is really starting to give me issues. I will have to give it a break and maybe get some pictures taken.

I was walking 3+ two months ago!! Going downhill fast!

I'm 5 weeks out till the procedure, got to go do all the pre surgery requirements now. Hoping to have good luck you guys did.

May I inquire as to the type of work all you folks that have experienced hip replacement have done?

The longer you wait the more damage you are doing to the other side by over compensating with the other side of your body. In short you are wearing out the other hip/knee. Get it done ASAP and get healed and up and going.
Had my right hip done in 2015 or so. Plus both knees and the right shoulder, waited 22 years on the shoulder. The Mrs.hdwolfer here,

I took the earliest date possible. I would have done it the day I went in if he was game, lol. I’m just tired of not being able to do what I used to could do. I can handle pain (might regret saying that) but not being able to get after it like I’m used to is what I’m missing the most.
