I search the archives.

Might be able to bend the “dog” close to move it down. If you want the pan higher you could probably file the dog notch back and the pan would set higher. Just curious as to why you want to change the pan height?

When I set the trap the pan was to low and the trap wouldn't fire.
I need to raise the pan up to be level.

There must be a bend in the rod dog engagement piece on that trap. I've never experienced a 750 with that problem.

You could slightly file the dog notch to shorten the "throw." But be careful with that on a MB750.

But, I have had a few 750s with this guide piece bent towards the frame. That caused some misalignment when setting. I straightened it and the rod dog alignment was corrected.

See pic for piece I'm referring to...

Is this a new trap, or used one? Check where Swamp Wolf says, and the rod dog itself. I've had wolves bend the rod dog before, you can bend it back around to make it work usually, but it is easy to replace, and at least they used to be cheap.

I ended up bending the dog away from the pan to level
it, didn't have to bend it much, I don't t know if I actually bent
the dog or the dog rod.

Had the same problem. Mine were new traps but got them from a private party. Had to do the same. I think someone was messing around with them. The traps I have received from MTP have never had a problem.
