My maternal grandmother used to feed the squirrels, like your wife does. She lived in Piqua, Ohio. For three years, she fed an albino squirrel, that would come scratch at her door, when hungry, or come running when she called "Cookie", which is what she named him. He would get mad if she didn't feed him quick enough. He got stuck in her neighbors garage and died.
Dayton, Ohio has a lot of albino Grey squirrels. In my old neighborhood, about 1/3rd of the squirrels were white. The kids next door to a friend of mine rescued about a 1/3rd grown, albino squirrel from a cat. My friend gave him to us. Diane fed him goats milk. We named him Whitey Ford. He grew very fast. He acted pretty nuts. Diane accidentally crushed him when he latched onto her finger, when she didn't feed him his bottle quickly enough.

Keith Crushed him eh! I truly believe it the little devils anyway!!! How many generations we’ve “raised” I have no idea but the wife has them named and they certainly do come running when she calls their names. I built a sunflower feeder for them in the back of the yard and when the wife opens the door and calls, it’s a stampede. If it makes the wife happy-happy, I’m happy!! When people ask me ifm I’m making any money trapping I just tell them I’m trapping for peanuts and sunflower seeds!

That's a pretty neat looking squirrel you got there Seldom. I'll bet the squirrel decoys on the deck, help bring them in too!

I don't know how long a squirrel lives, but we had one up at the lake for about 3 years in a row. After that it was never seen again. Those are really neat photos.
