BP is in Oregon. That's the northern US. Not a fair comparison....plus his was obviously all put up.

Today's Canadian dollar is .75 of a US dollar. Dont know what that rate was back when your beaver sold, but today your $30 Canadian avg would be $22.50 US.

If he holds at last spring's prices for green frozen pelts the avgs will compare to those at auction.

All BP's beaver are open water as far as I know.

I'm on the 45th parallel but according to the late Don Wolf my beaver look like Tennessee type beaver. We don't have a very cold winter because of the maritime climate.

I averaged about 5-6 bucks more at FHA for beaver that were not as nice (or big) as what I sold through our association sales. REAL HAPPY with what FHA managed to get for my beaver...now if I can just get a check!

They averaged close to their beaver (that much more time was invested in), but they're not worth anything.

They asked me several years back but I could not because I was on the OFMF board and that would have been against the constitution of the OFMF.
How many marten did you have on the sale Dirt.
I did 80 and change on the big ones,avg 60 after deductions.
I sold a ton of marten over the years for less than that for sure.
I'll be setting more marten traps this winter for sure as long as the old legs dont get too wore out

Thats the auction avg surely you do better than that,I sure do.
I can sure make money on $60 dollar marten here.
I got around 80 pelts left in the freezer,the'.ll be going to the march sale with next years harvest.
Got around 20 cats in the freezer,I'll grade out the 3 and 4 bellies for the tannery and the 1 and 2's will go to FHA with next years harvest also in march.
Marten and cats are on upward swing.My marten avg after deductions in march was $55.

I guess you won't do it $ 60 Canadian multiplied by .75 equals $45 U.S.

I live in Canada,dont care what it is in usd.
All my expenses are in CAD.
I figure out profits in CAD.
I'm too old to wait for $185 marten avg again.
